I stopped in for lunch around noon with a coworker. There were 10 - 15 people enjoying there meals. I ordered a 1/4 lb burger with fries. The burger was small & the fries were fresh cut and slightly undercooked. My friend had the meatloaf sandwich with hash browns and gravy. He said it was delicious. The restaurant was kinda dusty and dark.
We had a very nice Mother's Day dinner at Lamplighter. We go out for dinner on three holidays a year and have for years. This was one of the very best we have found. There was a great variety of food...several cooked veggies, fresh fruit and veggies, two types of potatoes, pasta, baked fish, chicken and gravy, a carving station with ham, turkey, lamb, and prime rib, chilled shrimp, several types of salads including really good broccoli salad, a great cheese board with a bunch of different cheeses on the block, and a great dessert table including the Lamplighter's wonderful pies. I'm sure I'm missing a few things, but you get the idea. There was enough variety for everyone to find something they loved. In addition, the staff was friendly and attentive. I highly recommend the Lamplighter Restaurant, and we will definitely be visiting again.
The food was very good. They make their own gravy, cheese sauce and spaghetti sauce. We had the chopped sirloin and it was fantastic with the gravy. Their pies are awesome as well. We had a great waitress named Jan who gave us above and beyond service. We will definitely go there again.
A popular local non-chain restaurant with good food. Our recent experience was a little out of the ordinary since we had a very large party so the service was a little slow. The food however was very good and quite hot considering the time it took to get our food. I had the fish which was good but those that had the stuffed pork chop raves about it. I would recommend this restaurant and not put a lot of weight the slower than normal service, I don’t believe that is the norm.
The Lamplighters' Thanksgiving buffet, once again, did not disappoint. The turkey was moist, the ham perfectly cooked, and the prime rib could be caught with a fork. The sides were plentiful as where the choices of cheeses, desserts, fruit, and salads. Because of various circumstances, we hadn't been back for Thanksgiving at The Lamplighter since 2019 but today it was every bit as good as in years past. A great homey meal!
We just had our wedding here- ceremony and reception. It was perfect! Andrew went above and beyond for me in so many ways! I said what I wanted and it was done! I didn’t have to worry about anything. The food was delicious! Everything was beautiful!! Thank you to all the staff- Brittany, Gary, Dinah, Lynn, Lisa, Barry and Daniel and many more!
The food was fantastic endless supply of everything you could imagine ! Daniel the owner still comes out and talks to everyone and Andrew is on top of everything as usual ! The place was packed but still sat and eating in mere minutes ! Great choice for the price and a complete feast !
I was here for a breakfast buffet. The food was good and the selection of items was excellent. The restaurant is older and that makes it unique and interesting which you don't see every day. The staff was kind and helpful.
The only drawback was that the coffee was very weak ☕.
Despite the bad coffee I would consider coming here again if I was visiting the area.
